There was nothing on the front page, and that should’ve been a sign from the universe itself. Larry should stop while he was ahead, set the book aside, and return it to Sal when he was next over. That was what a reasonable person would do. They wouldn’t flip pages and invade their friend’s privacy. After all, this appeared to look suspiciously like a journal. If so, he was sure Sal would be mortified if someone read what was supposed to be his private thoughts.
