Shane narrows his eyes, focusing on the flirtatious tilt of the alpha’s mouth as he smiles at him. And then what he just said finally registers in his mind. What the fuck? Is that guy for real? Flirting with him on the first day of school? With his daughter only standing a few feet away?

The alpha’s grin doesn't waver. If anything, it grows more pronounced, those unfairly blue eyes crinkling at the corners. “If you want to.”
Shane Hollander was nineteen when he finally presented. Twenty-one when he got diagnosed with IOED, a rare condition that shows itself with delayed secondary omega traits and absent heats. In other words: infertility.
When his boyfriend breaks up with him for this very reason, Shane has to come to terms with the fact that he’ll probably be alone forever. What alpha in his right mind could possibly want a defective omega?
That’s where Ilya Rozanov comes in, proving him wrong at every turn, because loving Shane appears to be the easiest thing he’s ever done.

First, this man did not fit in the small chair designed for a second grader.

The man was sitting near the back, handout and pen in hand, eyes locked on Shane. He was broad shouldered, his t-shirt stretched snugly around his biceps as he adjusted his papers onto the desk in front of him, and his sharp eyes and cutting cheekbones were framed by a halo of sandy brown hair, windswept but curling.
Shane Hollander built his life after college around safe choices. Safe job, safe routines, and a safe distance from the hockey world he abandoned years ago.
That is, until Ilya Rozanov walked into his second grade classroom.
