Summary
No response at all this time, even though Steve is close enough to see Dustin's face in profile- red eyes, lips pinched tight so they won't tremble. Trying so hard to be blank, in a way Steve knows far too well, even if Dustin isn't very good at it. He sighs and adds, "...He wouldn't want you to keep doing this, either."
It's low, Steve knows it, and Dustin's brows pinch together even as he still keeps his eyes trained on the tree trunk. "You don't know that." It's sullen, like Dustin knows how unreasonable it is but doesn't care. Stubborn, like always. "Maybe he likes the company."
[Something fractured in Steve and Dustin's friendship after they lost Eddie. Maybe Steve can fix it.]

Summary
It wasn’t like Eddie could just go and tell Steve that he’d Had An Effect, Jesus. Steve may have been like something out of a story, but he was also, well. Incredibly, painfully straight. So, Eddie had resigned himself to pining.
But then darling Steve had agreed to join a campaign. And Eddie…
Well, he couldn’t romance Steve and win, not in the cold and unforgiving reality of Hawkins, Indiana. But like hell he couldn’t win in his game. After all, what was D&D for, if not living out one’s fantasies?

Summary
Steve has his back to the door, so he doesn’t actually see it open. He also doesn’t need to, because the crack of it bouncing against the tiled wall is probably loud enough to be heard outside the building. Tommy stops talking, grin freezing on his face. His eyes go huge.
“Greetings, gentlemen,” says a voice. “Hope I’m not disturbing anything?”
Silence drops. Nobody laughs. Instead, the entire room stares at the newcomer with expressions matching Tommy’s - wide-eyed, open-mouthed surprise.
“Jesus,” someone whispers. Steve turns.
“Munson is fine,” says Eddie Munson. He’s leaning in the open door, tall and unashamed, thin rivulets of water running from his wet hair and down his neck and shoulders. His grin is large and wolfish, and a little bit unhinged.
He’s not wearing the cheerleading uniform.
He's not wearing anything at all.

Summary
Steve Harrington is a background character in Eddie’s life, one who he only knows because it’s a small town and everyone knows everyone. Everyone has some distant connection, some oddly personal anecdote about everyone else in town.
Eddie’s connection is that he’s been slowly falling in love with the guy for years before ever getting to know the real him. When he does, it only makes it worse.

Summary
“I love you,” Steve says, just as Robin gets halfway out the car.
It’s not what he says, exactly, she thinks, but the way he says it. Or maybe it’s because the last time she heard him say those words, they sounded like they’d been punched out of him back then, too: at Starcourt, his mouth twisting—so ready to laugh at himself—while sirens lit up his face, red and blue.
Robin thinks, just as she did then, you’re hurting.
