Morro knew it was a stupid decision to make, but in the moment, he was so afraid to die. So stupidly, mortally afraid.
"Sensei...help me-" he had shuddered, panic in his voice. Wu had always been kind. Of course he had helped.
But Morro wasn't a hero. And he hadn't made up for anything well enough to deserve life. It was evident enough.
Then, he made a mistake.
A mistake that will cost him his life at the hands of the ninja that had almost vanquished him before. Unless he could run fast and hard enough.All alone. Again.
Or so he thought.

Summary
(What if Lloyd never grew up?)
Something had gone wrong, very wrong. And Sensei Wu was the only one who knew it.
His father's prophecies were vague, but he could decipher one thing from them, if the Green Ninja never grew up, then the world would be shrouded in Lord Garmadons darkness.
Wu thought it had been a metaphor, but when the Tomorrows Tea missed Lloyd, Wu knew that the end of this age was only a matter of time. His brother would have the last laugh, and Ninjago would be created in his image.
At Ouroborous, when Garmadon uses his Mega-Weapon to go back in time to stop Lloyd from ever becoming a ninja, Wu knows there is nothing that will stop the oncoming future, even if this battle is won, the war would be lost. He tells Lloyd to go in the closing portal, as a gift the boy doesn't yet understand, to see a calm world while it lasted but, Lloyd falls through a second too late.
The Green Ninja did not fall through with the others, he is somewhere, alone, in a foreign place. A long, long time before the time of the ninja. A time even before the Serpentine Wars.
He needs to get back. But first, he meets two familiar faces.
