It wasn't that it was sudden, hell almost everyone by now knew about it that Issac poor sweet Issac had been abused by his Daddy Stiles thought bitterly he wasn't jealous of the attention he never liked acknowledging any of his own weaknesses in fact he went out of his way to make sure people didn't realize his own fragility so that's why when Issac started opening up to everyone and going into great detail about the abuse he suffered from his Father, Stiles could barely stand it and it wasn't like it was a one time thing at was limitless and Stiles really needed it to end because hearing it caused him to remember and remembering hurt to damn much.
Or: Everyone knows Issac was abused but when he starts recounting it Stiles can barely stand listening to it because that was things his own Father had done to him and the Sheriff was many things but he wasn't abusive he was just being a good parent making him stronger right?

Bucky doesn't even flinch. "This isn't negotiable," he replies flatly. "Ava is a no-go, and I need you to step up." He doesn't speak loudly, but the tone he uses effectively cuts through John's protests anyway.
And he absolutely hates that he knows that.
The room goes quiet, except for Alexei's chair squeaking as he shifts uncomfortably. Bob coughs quietly on the side. Yelena busies herself watching her nails, but John knew better than to think she was not at all listening.
And Ava---
Ava doesn't say a word.
"Great. Fine. Whatever," John says, snapping his briefing folder closed. He could pitch a bigger fit, but at the end of the day, a mission was a mission.
And he was a soldier.
Still, he twists to face Ava, who's refusing to look at him, and pointedly tells her, "You owe me for this. Big time. And trust me, I intend to collect."
