It wasn't that it was sudden, hell almost everyone by now knew about it that Issac poor sweet Issac had been abused by his Daddy Stiles thought bitterly he wasn't jealous of the attention he never liked acknowledging any of his own weaknesses in fact he went out of his way to make sure people didn't realize his own fragility so that's why when Issac started opening up to everyone and going into great detail about the abuse he suffered from his Father, Stiles could barely stand it and it wasn't like it was a one time thing at was limitless and Stiles really needed it to end because hearing it caused him to remember and remembering hurt to damn much.
Or: Everyone knows Issac was abused but when he starts recounting it Stiles can barely stand listening to it because that was things his own Father had done to him and the Sheriff was many things but he wasn't abusive he was just being a good parent making him stronger right?

It only took one day for Stiles's life to change drastically one day for his whole world to shatter he supposed the weeks that followed were to grind those shattered pieces to dust.
Or when Coach Finstock leaves for some unexplained family emergency Stiles was ecstatic, maybe he would finally have a shot at first line now that there was a new substitute but little did he know that monsters don't just hide in the dark sometimes they are out in the open sometimes they are right in front of you.

"Because if it wasn't a hockey thing—"
"It's a hockey thing," Quinn said, and there was something in his voice that was not quite patience and not quite the other thing, something in between, that closed the sentence gently but firmly. "I understand. Really. It's a hockey thing and it makes sense and Minnesota is going to be great."

The whole Soulmate thing was dumb. The universe couldn't just decide who you were going to fall in love with. And besides, Quinn didn't have time for any of that. He had a hockey career to chase, a dying team to carry, and one annoying ass left winger to beat.
