The thing is, the disciples of An Ding know that their peak operates under some very specific rules, and one of those is: we will always choose our own, first. So when someone kidnaps their shizun and leaves rather bloody proof of it to traumatize the babies, of course the Head Disciple has to step up and handle it. Shen Qingqiu would like to register a complaint with the management (though whether that's Yue Qingyuan, as the sect leader, or Shang Qinghua as the author, even he's not sure), but unfortunately neither he nor his husband get a say.
Mobei-jun would really just like to bring his man home.

Summary
Shang Hua's village is of little importance, except to the people who live there.
The village sits near a river, near land rich enough to be arable, but not so fertile that there aren't lean years. It's not the smallest village, although it doesn't quite aspire to the heights of being a town; the residents number in the hundreds, but there are not so many of them that the aunties can't keep track of everyone's name, and it's an event to be talked about for weeks if travelers pass by.
People still talk about the rich family that built an estate there as newcomers, and that manor house was built before Shang Hua was born.

In which Shang Qinghua befriends the young nobleman from the manor, and only finds out he's a demon when it's nearly too late.

Megatron is locked in the basement and his Decepticons are rebuilding Cybertron under Autobot leadership. It's a damn powder keg. The language barrier isn't helping either.
Optimus gets a little help from the monster in the basement. Bumblebee gets a little conniving. Prowl gets very frustrated. And the Decepticon workers get themselves some nice civil rights
