Summary
Christine descends to the catacombs after her debut in Faust, anxious to find her maestro, who is nowhere to be seen. When she finds him ill and barely conscious, she decides to take matters into her own hands.
Each time, Erik would declare that he’d had enough, and attempt to move away from the chaise—but each time, Christine only needed to pout and plead a little for him to relent immediately. Sometimes, she would throw in a line of praise—You’re doing so well, ange—and he was rendered defenceless. The fearsome phantom was merely a man, after all; and a very malleable one at that when faced with a certain soprano’s schemes.
“Just one more bite,” she’d say, eyes glistening as she looked at him pleadingly. “For me?”
And how could he, no, how could anyone say no to that?
