“I want to punch you,” Ragnvindr grits out, and there is something strange to his voice as he saying this, as though the admission pains him, “but Vassilev will kill me if I do.”
Ajax wets his bottom lip, and the corners of his mouth twitch when Ragnvindr’s gaze tracks the movement.
“You know,” he starts, now hungering for all things brilliant, and short-lived, and ruinous, “there are always other ways to get a man on his knees.”
Hearing this, Ragnvindr’s face makes a beautifully complicated expression. His thick brows draw together, and his mouth parts. He draws closer, sucked into this black hole, mistaking its gravity as the orbital of something grander, perhaps.
Ajax breathes in the lingering trace of Ragnvindr’s aftershave, the light scent of sandalwood, and lets out a breath of a laugh, despite himself.
“What?” He taunts, desperate to know if Ragnvindr would give in, if Ajax had it within himself to lasso a blazing sun. “Scared?”
It would be a tired sentiment if Ajax said that volleyball was the love of his life. After all, he wasn't quite in the business of sharing first loves.

gojo lets out a short, startled bark of laughter. “and why would i do that, pray tell?”
“i worried,” suguru confesses, even if it’s not entirely true, even if the coyness is cruel, and done while thinking of another man. “i thought you might have lost interest.” when gojo continues to stare at him, jaw tense and incredulous, suguru adds, “in the restaurant, i mean.”
“fucking hell,” gojo mutters, turning away from suguru.
when ichibanboshi udon joint becomes a money laundering front for the japanese mafia, suguru does what is expected of him and decides that he'll get his restaurant back even if it means prying it from the hands of one gojo satoru. and so, unstoppable force falls in love with immovable object.

seventeen days ago, diluc broke up with him. it took four neat words out of his lips for dainsleif’s heart to sink so low he thought it might’ve drowned. i don’t want this, diluc had said, and dainsleif had stared back into that listless gaze, and had not said, but you’re all i’ve ever wanted, even if he was thinking it, very, very hard.
seventeen minutes ago, diluc stood next to him by the pot of tea on the stove and muttered, “you need to let it simmer more.”
dressed in an old shirt he stole from an ex-boyfriend that wasn’t dainsleif, and a pair of joggers his brother gifted him two winters ago, diluc’s hair was mussed from sleep, curling around the slight curve of his cheek in a way that made dainsleif want to tuck it behind his ear, or to kiss his face, or to say, you’re standing so far away.
but like that small but great distance between their arms, that wish went both felt and unacknowledged – a strange dichotomy that joins a growing list of strange dichotomies ever since diluc ragnvindr felt the need to call it quits and dainsleif had allowed it.
DON'T live with your ex. not unless you're still in love with him.

most engaged with is a tweet from a tartaglia updates account with a video of aforementioned tartaglia sitting on the railings of an apartment, legs swinging casually as an all too familiar redhead faces him. diluc’s place is on the top floor, so the quality of the footage is low, but there’s no mistaking it – kaeya’s brother was being chatted up by none other than local superhero-slash-vigilante right at the comfort of his own balcony.
diluc ragnvindr is under the impression he's tangled in a love triangle between roommate ajax romanov and mondstadt city's beloved crimefighter, tartaglia. spoiler alert: he's not.
