    “Oh,” Alex says, like this is old news and she doesn’t really believe Kara will follow through. Which is fair: this is not the first time Kara has said those exact words. “No, you’re not.”

    Rather like a balloon stabbed with a pair of scissors, Kara deflates. “No, I’m not. But it’d be great if I did.”

    “Yes, it would.”

    OR Alex is tired of Kara trying and failing to ask Lena out OR Alex has no chill and interrupts Uno to tell them to get their shit together OR they clean up together after game night and talk about their feelings and kiss little.

    “I’m in love with you. I have been, for long enough that it’s getting hard to pretend I can get over you.”
