Summary
After a foolish night of drunkenness, the young King Thor is on a search for a new queen, this time a commoner that the people of Asgard can rise behind and love as one of their own. All Aesir youth who are of age and pass the initial tests of beauty, virginity, and fertility are to be housed in the king’s harem where they will be groomed and trained for potential queenship. After one year’s time, the king will then spend a single night with each of the chosen youth in order to choose his queen.
The strangest youth in competition for the crown? A lying, thieving, mysterious trickster known only by the name of Loki.
Little does the House of Odin know that Loki is neither Aesir nor a commoner.

Eyes the color of the clearest ice had bored into Loki, giving him a chill he'd never known before and could not entirely banish no matter how he steeled himself. "You offer your own death in place of your king then? And why should I exchange one small prince for a just punishment to a king who brought this cost to his own people?"

Stiles has never been what you might call normal, what with his mad research skills, uber lacrosse-bench-warming abilities, propensity for thinking about fifty different things at once, and staunch loyalty that seven years of unrequited love can't put a dent in. Oh, and then there's his magic.
Not that he's actually done any magic since his mom died.
But that's going to have to change, because Scott's wolfing out (and not in a fun way), a psychopathic Alpha's wooing Scott into his pack, Derek Hale's stalking like a creeper, and Scott’s new girlfriend just happens to come from a family of hunters.
Beacon Hills just got a lot more complicated and Stiles is gonna have to use all his not-quite-normalness to save it.

“I’m not surprised,” Derek huffs. It’s not even with exertion, it’s just out of annoyance which is his default setting since the anger one passed. Stiles calls it his Six Stages of Stiles: Anger, Annoyance, Bargaining (for him to go away), Acceptance (because he never does), Like and Love. He’s not found anyone who has reached the final stage yet, not counting his dad because he’s got no choice, apart from maybe Scott. But Stiles is an optimistic guy, he fears for his life on a weekly basis and still wants to get up in the morning, so yeah. One day there will be love. And sex marathons. Hopefully.
