“I’m the one you set as the emergency safeguard?” The figure scowls, arms crossed. “Are... Are you just sadistic enough to put me in that thing,” its finger points to the hexagon on his tattered jacket, “So I can rot out here with your corpse, Jack?”
Silence and sand stand between them, unhurried. And it takes a moment to click, but it hits him like a bumper to a skag.
“That’s- my name’s John, pumpkin, but you’re acting real high and mighty for an AI.”
John (Hyperion, Age: 33, ID: 12859304, Position: Programmer) wakes up stranded on Pandora after a shuttle crash. Thankfully, an old failsafe program on his shield (which is, uh, way above his pay grade) activates due to a bad head wound he received on the way down. It's not a very useful program, in the form of an AI named Rhys, but they might have a better chance if they can cooperate.
Unfortunately, Rhys has beef with some guy called Jack. Who, according to Rhys, is John. Except, last time he checked, John isn't president of Hyperion or a genocidal maniac like Rhys claims.

Summary
Eddie Brock was a reporter, a journalist- and thus had little room for crackpot theories. Bigfoot wasn't real, couldn't be. Mothman was just a folktale for tourism. Aliens? More plausible than the last two.
At least, that is until a man called Flash Thompson arrives on his doorstep, uprooting his life and throwing it in the trashcan. He is thrust back into his previous life as a Men in Black agent, with no recollection of such events occurring, his only clues to his lost memory being snippets that are gradually showing through the cracks. Even more bizarre is the fact that he is supposedly a previous, and one of the few surviving, hosts for an alien named Venom.
With time running out, a muddled jumble of conflicting memories and a painfully confusing alien constantly insulting him with backhanded endearments, Eddie barely gets a moment to pry. Considering he’s seen those opalescent eyes in vivid detail within his dreams, Eddie knows there is so much more he has to figure out before the clock hits zero.

Summary
Losing everything to the Life Foundation was not a good move - unintended but a move nonetheless. Eddie often tended to take the wrong steps at the wrong times. He'd never been the best dancer or good at following orders so it came as no surprise. But this one just happened to cost him everything he cared about. Verging on the edge of being tossed out of his shitty home, living off of frozen foods, Eddie made a tentative step.
He signed up for a volunteer project for the company that destroyed his life.
He had no clue that this mess of a situation would end up being his best move of all time for all the wrong reasons.

Summary
Venom only fed a couple times a week at first, but that was still too much. Decapitation made an obvious pattern. They covered their tracks, of course, but it wasn't long before the news was covering a possible serial killer.
Sorry, Eddie, Venom said as Eddie stared at the TV in a bar, reading the captions. Need brains. Need the chemicals in them.
"It's okay, Ve-- it's okay, love," Eddie reassured, catching himself. Talking to himself in public was one thing, but talking to an entity named Venom was something else. "We're still figuring it out."
Love, Venom repeated.
Eddie was still trying to read the captions on the news, to see how much of a clue the police might have.
"Hmm?"
Called me 'love', Venom said, sounding unsure of what to make of this development.

Summary
After the events in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter decides that he's ready for any bad guys that his neighborhood can throw at him, but finds himself in over his head when he stumbles upon a crime syndicate that has tech to rival the Chitauri weaponry. On top of that, he finds that something else is after the same criminals, a new vigilante named Venom that doesn't play well with others. When Eddie finds out that Spider-Man isn't quite a man yet, he does what he can to keep the kid safe-- while fighting crime, trying to hold down a job, and coexisting with a morally challenged alien.
