Summary
It won’t ever get away. That feeling. That horrible feeling. It will remain there, deep inside him. Everywhere. In his guts, in his heart, in his head. That awful feeling. Every evening Rick thinks he would get away, that he would wake up one morning, peacefully, and happy. That all this chaos would disappear. Sadly, it comes back most of the mornings. When he opens his eyes, sees the empty side of the bed, feels the cold sheets next to him, it all comes back. Fear, anger, distress, sadness.

He knew it. Of course he knew it. He FUCKING knew it. It was going to be a disaster. No, let’s rephrase that: a MASSIVE disaster. It couldn’t be different, not in this situation. So, when the shooting started, he wasn’t even surprised, and he was even surprised when he saw the blood. He felt devastated by not being surprised and suddenly regret and remorse hit him.

Happiness is a possibility so he should stop. He could totally stop.
