Summary
From what I understand, the human brain is basically an electrical meatball. A very sophisticated meatball, to be sure, but still – organic.
That organic human neural tissue – unless very carefully cultivated under very specific laboratory parameters – doesn’t always play nicely with the non-organic bits. And even then, see example: me.
That wasn’t even including the fact that Gurathin had received his augments in the Corporation Rim and company equipment – see again: me – wasn’t exactly premium quality.

Summary
I sent a ping to his door's feed. I was about to hack the door after waiting for 15 seconds without a response from inside, when it opened. Gurathin's face looked tired, with dark circles under his eyes. It was also oddly rounder? Fuller? His hair was long and messy, especially for him, but also strangely thick and glossy.
Some of my drones swarmed inside, while others circled him, assessing the situation and analyzing the changes to his appearance. All at once, I understood. Well, mostly.
What the fuck?
"SecUnit?" Gurathin asked, surprised. "I'm sorry for not going to your party. I'm too tired. We– we'll talk more tomorrow, okay?"
He tried to close the door, but I stopped him. No way I was going to leave without a fucking explanation. I pushed the door open and stared at him with my own eyes, confirming what my drones had seen. For a moment, I thought it was some kind of glitch, but no, Gurathin’s torso was swollen, the bump visible even through the large shirt he was wearing.
"What the fuck?" was the only thing I managed to say.

Summary
Gurathin is only human, for all the augments grafted into his body; he used to wish he was less human so the things he had to do would hurt him less, but now he wishes he was something besides human because the things he wants to do would hurt him and everyone around him. Not even things he knows he wants, that’s the worst part.
A troubling dream as the old year gives way to the new.

Summary
I am absolutely ruined. There is no way this can end well. This fixation is crushing me. It was bad enough when it went away, but now it's back, the reality of the situation is that I'm an idiot who's fallen for a rogue construct.
And yet, here we are, watching its favourite show together, and when you think about it, that's fucking huge. This is a choice that it made. To watch with me.
