If Diluc looked at this painting any longer, he was going to lose his shit.
He needs to let this go before it festers, infects his heart and leaves him aching, sore, and broken again. He's burnt his heart out many times, yet flesh still threatens to grow from the ashes that stain his organs.
Or, Diluc's lack of self care finally catches up to him.

Kaeya bites back the sob expanding in his chest.
Diluc continues, “Every time I hear a rustle outside, or someone knocks on the door unexpectedly, or I see a light on the road, I just know it’s him coming for me, and I can’t escape him, I can’t get away, I-”

OR: When Diluc injures his leg, Jean forces him to stay at Kaeya's apartment while he recovers. But Diluc's traumatized, anxious, and paranoid... and Kaeya manages to inadvertently play right into his fears.

Summary
And once again, off Kaeya goes, detailing the Spark Knight's newest adventures with the Knights. Diluc focuses on following him, not really paying attention to what Kaeya is saying, but much more on the idea of not having a mental breakdown in the middle of Windrise.
Not now. Not here — not where Kaeya could see.
He'd gotten through enough of those on his own, just as he deserved; he didn't need to drag Kaeya down towards his own demons. Not again.
OR; the demons that Diluc normally face alone rear their ugly heads while with Kaeya. Kaeya, understandably, is horrified that his older and ridiculously stubborn brother lives like this. Takes place directly after 5.6.
