Summary
Ugh. Humans are so rude.
Scott already despises most of the people in Oakhurst and he’s only been here for two days. Two! It wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t accused of being a vampire and murdering Shelby in the woods. The townsfolk had been quite nice up until that point, but noooo, even if he successfully managed to convince everyone he didn’t kill Shelby—seeing as she showed up alive and well!—doubt had been cast on him.
And now no one trusts him. Great.
It’s not like Scott truly cares, Shelby’s nice enough, but does he really worry for any of these people? Absolutely not. He’s here to follow strangers into the woods and hope they bite him, not the other way around!
—
It’s the unfortunate, irrevocable truth: Scott Goldsmith is human.
He doesn’t want to be.

Summary
Abolish slips into the seat right across from him, and as Scott’s red eyes flick up to meet his brown ones, his expression brightens. “Scott,” he greets quietly.
“Oh hello, Abolish,” Scott replies without even a hint of surprise, slipping a marker between the pages of his book before he puts it to the side. “Got a day off?”
He holds back a snort. Funny. “Yeah,” Abolish answers. “How have you been?”
“Recently, or since we last spoke?” Scott questions with a chuckle, tilting his head to the side slightly. “After all, it’s been a century, give or take.”

Summary
Abolish waits.
He waits through centuries, through the coming and goings of people, through massacres, through empty silence. He waits because he’s not one to leave a job unfinished, because the overtime payout will be extraordinary, because he’s not disloyal and impatient like his lord’s fickle fledglings and friends.
Eventually, it occurs to him that any sane person would have left long ago, money or professionalism be damned. So why does he still wait?Based on Abolish’s initial character concept as Scott’s butler!

Summary
"Pyro, dear." Scott shook his head. "It's not a difficult question. Just tell me-"
Before his sire could continue, Pyro did the worst thing he could do, the stupidest, most childish, and most immature response possible, the thing he'd done that had gotten him turned in the first place: he ran, bolting from the ballroom and into the daylight without another word.
Behind him, he heard Scott sigh, and then rush forward as well, chasing after him.

Summary
Abolish's mouth twitched, though whether he was fighting a smile or a frown, Scott couldn't tell. "Tell you what. You focus on this, and once we're done, we can spar."
Now that was a good way to get him motivated. "Should have said that earlier. Show me what to do."
OR
If there is one thing Scott has learned about Abolish Veylocke, it is that he is unpredictable.
