Summary
It was Hollander’s absence that had created this void. It wasn’t that Ilya had even cared, before. A quick thrill, that both knew would end. But then, Hollander had hijacked Ilya’s life, refashioned it in his own image, shaped it to fit the empty space he left in his wake. It was terribly cruel, the immeasurable impact that human beings could have on one another. Even more cruel, to walk away from the mess you had created, as Hollander had. At least have the decency to make it mean something.
After a nervous collapse, Shane Hollander returns home, only to be brought back into contact with the man he left behind, six years prior.

Five years ago, everything fell apart when Arthur had to help Merlin flee Camelot, narrowly avoiding execution.
Now, Arthur's a king on the run, Camelot's in danger, and despite months of searching, Merlin's still nowhere to be found.
