Summary

Eskel is a farmer who can work only at night so the locals won't see his face. Ten years have passed after the terrible car crash, but Eskel still constantly wears a hat, mask, and glasses to keep all of his skin hidden. There isn't a single word about a love partner or a friend. Eskel can communicate only with his cattle and plants. Worried about his brother's mental state, Lambert prepares a nice Birthday present for him: an appointment with an esthetician. The man called Julian is a specialist from a nearby town who can provide a nourishing care for Eskel's face, so his scars would bother him at least a bit less.

Summary
It's believed that a union between a human and a witcher will improve the relationship between two species. Jaskier has been convicted for his amorous adventures, and his enemies want to punish him once and for all by making him a mate to a witcher. Jaskier has never known a witcher, so he believes the horrific stories about these creatures being sadists and executors towards humans. Jaskier expects to be taken into captivity and tortured, but at least it can be slightly better than his alternative — hanging. When Jaskier sees his mate for the first time on their wedding ceremony, he can't believe that it's THAT bad. His life should be over now. And he loses it.
