The thing is, it’s a new car, and it's been a long day. “I’m almost out of gas,” he says, leaning forward to try and see his new friend’s face.
Gun guy shifts a little. “After fourteen gallons?” he asks, and Jason looks past him and- shit, that’s right, they’re at a gas station. The guy had probably watched him fill up.
“I kill drug dealers for a living,” Jason adds, going for broke.
“Good thing I’m not one, then.”
Jason unlocks the doors.
