Summary
Due to his water-based abilities and waterlogged body, Waterboy doesn't handle the cold well at all. He hasn't spent a winter working at SDN yet, but he's about to find out that he can't exactly keep up with his usual workload when his body is betraying him. He'll need some help from the resident warm-individual, the reluctant Flambae, to make it through the shift, and he may just need some reassurance along the way that he is where he belongs.
I don't live in L.A. I don't know how cold it gets there during the day usually, and I don't care. This may make no sense with the temperature, but I think in a world of superheroes I can write some hurt/comfort that makes absolutely no logical sense, and that's what I have done. Enjoy or don't.
Also this isn't explicitly Waterboy x Flambae, it's more implied. I've still tagged it as such, hence the warning.

Flambae gets trapped while on a mission. Death seems imminent, until Waterboy swoops in to save him. While Flambae isn't too willing to thank the man who saw him have a breakdown while out in the field, they nevertheless have a talk in the bar after-the-fact. Flambae realizes that Waterboy might not be so bad after all... and if he brings Waterboy out of his shell, he might like what he finds.
