The world felt exceptionally quiet. Usually, Dazai and Chuuya’s nights were spent amidst the sounds of screaming and gunfire, among other things, but right now the only things to be heard were each others’ breathing and the whispers of the breeze.
“Marry me.”
Or, an impromptu request turns a night of violence and bloodshed into something else entirely.

Summary
He thought Chuuya might respond with another well-worn insult, something about his gangly limbs or resemblance to a fish. Or maybe just a simple “you’re ridiculous,” muttered under his breath with that fond, quiet smile he only reserved for these softer moments.
“Are you tired of all of it?” Chuuya asked instead.
Dazai went stiff.
Or, Dazai is exhausted by everything he does for a city that doesn't return the favor. A warm shower with Chuuya helps.

“What are you doing?”
It’s Kunikida. Dazai mentally scolds himself for being off-guard twice in the same ten-minute period.
“Just... ah...” Dazai coughs instead of answering. It's not like he has any. He isn’t about to tell Kunikida he was questioning him for being nice towards him.
Dazai gets sick, and he also gets to question the nice change in his life that the Agency has been.
