“¿Qué gano yo entonces, si sigo la corriente?”, dijo, decidido a aunque sea escucharlo para burlarse de ello más tarde.
Algo pasa por el rostro de Lucifer, un temblor hostil, una amenaza que casi curva la punta de la mueca en sus labios. Alastor lo escucha reírse entre dientes, pero tiene que ser su imaginación, porque Lucifer solo parpadea en su dirección con reflexión letárgica.
“Entonces, eso es todo”, dice, con una resolución sabionda y satisfecha endulzando su voz ronca, que lo irrita en sobremanera. “Tendrás mi cuerpo como pago”.
“What do I gain, then, if I go along with it?” he said, determined to at least listen so he could mock him later.
Something flickered across Lucifer’s face, a hostile tremor, a threat that almost curled the tip of his sneer. Alastor heard him chuckle, but it had to be his imagination, because Lucifer only blinked in his direction with lethargic contemplation.
“So, that’s it,” he said, a smug, self-satisfied resolve sweetening his raspy voice, which irritated him to no end. “You’ll have my body as payment.”

La partida de la última manada que les resta trae más consecuencias de las que Inuyasha y Sesshōmaru podrían haber previsto. La pérdida y las promesas trazan los caminos de ambos para hacerlos coincidir de las maneras más impredecibles de las que nunca podrían haberse preparado. The departure of the last remaining pack brings more consequences than Inuyasha and Sesshōmaru could have foreseen. Porque Sesshōmaru… Sesshōmaru parece querer devorarlo. Y algo dentro de sí mismo transita con insistencia ante tal descubrimiento. Inuyasha encuentra el sentimiento… agradable.

Lucifer did something very complicated with his face; twisting eyebrows and glittering eyes and his mouth thinning like it couldn't decide if it wanted to grimace or curl into a smile. "You are such a fucking asshole."
Then he took a shaking breath in, one that made his shoulders all taut and said, "And I am going to regret this forever," on his breath out.
And then he kissed him.
Lucifer gets mad at Alastor, Alastor gets mad at Lucifer and then they fight it out in bed. And there totally AREN'T any warm feelings involved.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered. The words crawled out of him, unwanted, like something half-choked.
“For what?” Lucifer asked, voice steady. Soft. No judgment. No coldness.
“I—” Alastor’s hands clenched into the wool of his coat. His fingers twitched, wanting something to hold onto that didn’t feel like slipping.
“I don’t know,” he muttered. “For this. For not being able to…”

Summary
Alastor’s interest in Lucifer can’t possibly be the product of desire - but Lucifer desires Alastor, desperately. He would tell Alastor anything, even if it meant exposing his deepest secrets and vulnerabilities.
He just never imagined his soft spot for Alastor would land him here: naked, vulnerable, and eager to please in Alastor’s bed.
