Summary
Newt remembers desire, the sprawling, hot shape of it, the physicality. There hadn't been room for it, when he’d been a Crank. Hadn’t been room for anything at all.
But he’s not sick anymore. There’s time to get acquainted with a lot of things, if only Newt would let himself.
Like fate, magnetism, a compass pointing due north, Newt lifts his gaze and sees Thomas already looking back at him, over the fire.
Post-Flare, post-Cure, post-everything, Newt gets used to being in a body again.

Summary
Newt was used to wanting Thomas by then, the relentlessness of it, the way it swept over his entire body like a wave. He thought that was why everything in his body seemed to have ramped up: his heartbeat, temperature. Didn’t really understand why it was happening until he was turning the car off and there was a sudden stab of hot pain in his arm, spreading like veins.
Newt pushed his sleeve up and stared.
Newt wrestles with the Scorch, the Flare, and his feelings for Thomas.

Summary
Thomas’s body never quite remembers to get out of fight-or-flight; his pulse is hammering away in his throat and he’s sweaty all over when he finally gets his eyes open. His cheeks are wet. He doesn’t remember what he dreamed of, but he can guess well enough at what it was about.
“Tommy,” Newt murmurs from his side of the room, and Thomas feels his entire miserable body relax.
In which Thomas helps make the Safe Haven into a home, tries not to think too hard about That Time Newt Almost Died, and learns to feel his feelings.

Arthur might have been more concerned about how they were clearly not in Camelot anymore if he wasn’t more preoccupied with how he’d somehow gained about ten meters of hair, several layers of skirts, and an impressively uncomfortable bodice, given that he didn’t have the chest to fill it.
Arthur and Merlin stumble upon a fairy ring of an interesting nature.
