The thought of her face like that was unbearable, haunting. He didn’t want it to happen, so he volunteered himself-, didn’t even bother haggling just shoved gold right into the matchmaker’s hand and stomped on down to the match himself, boxing wrap secured around his hands and wrists whilst metallic and spiked vambraces and elbow pads slapped on just as the doors opened up.
The spiked pieces of his clothing were off now, and the images of her face pulverized were gone now.
And in their place was something just as unwelcomed of her face being furi-
‘BANG!’
The door to his room, metallic and rusty, slammed into the wall suddenly. Ekko jolted, cooling metal dropping to the floor with a series of metallic, ‘clang, clang, clang,’ as it fell and bounced along the ground. Quickly the newly crowned champion turned around and-

It took her a moment to realize he was nudging the book back to her, in hopes to get a name back. And so she did.
“Jinx.”

After a close call at a city hotspot hideout, Jinx barely escapes to the outskirts of the city in hopes for a safe place to stay, and possibly some bandages and medical supplies. That's when she bumps into another survivor, a foreign yet familiar face, and soon life feels worth living again, even amongst the chaos.
