Summary
Lu Guang traveled through countless timelines just to fulfill an unattainable desire – to save Cheng Xiaoshi. Countless, because he can’t remember which attempt is this. He barely remembers anything different than Cheng Xiaoshi smile, voice, smell and laugh. All he knows is the one fact and his own promise – Cheng Xiaoshi is going to die. And Lu Guang must save him.
But how to fulfill it, while destiny is trying to stop him from achieving his goal? While he doesn’t remember the past and could never be sure about the future? When after all the times he tricked the universe, it decides to make it physically impossible for him to do so anymore?
If Lu Guang's fate is to save his friend, is it even possible to attain it, if Cheng Xiaoshi's fate is death?
(Or: Lu Guang sometimes can't feel his legs and has a memory disorder he's hiding, Cheng Xiaoshi is trying his best to be the most protective partner and they both can't find a way to be honest with each other.)

Summary
Lan Wangji steels himself against the pain and leans on Bichen, forcing himself to his feet with minimal swaying. He needs to get help, and he really only has one choice. He hates the thought of burdening Wei Ying and the Wen remnants with the consequences of his carelessness.
But the fact remains that Lan Wangji is in trouble. From what he knows of the terrain, he is closer to the Burial Mounds than he is to the town, and the coppery tang of his own blood is strong in his nostrils. He can feel it, sticky and wet against his left hand where it stays pressed against his right side. And, selfishly, he wants to see Wei Ying, wants to see him as he has wanted to see him every moment since they last parted. In the end, that is what gets him moving.
When a night hunt goes south, leaving Lan Wangji injured and dangerously low on spiritual energy, he goes to the Burial Mounds for help.
