“That’s a good record.” He comments, grabbing her attention.
She looks over at him, then looks back at the record and takes it out of the lineup and into her hands, “Hep Alien.”
“Yeah, I think they're a new band, just came out with this about a week or so ago. It was pretty good.” He tells her.
“Alright,” she smiles at him, “I’ll get it then. Thanks.” He nods in place of a “you’re welcome” and she picks up the rest of her records and moves towards check-out. Jess moves back to skimming the Is. He glances up at her at check-out, digging money out of her pockets. She glances back, giving him a smile before handing the money to the cashier and taking her bag of records.
And there Jess stood, wonderstruck to say the least.

“Is this how you lure people in?” she asks teasingly as they walk side by side under the shelter of his umbrella. “Through the pretext of loaning umbrellas?”
He laughs, and she feels the vibrations of his body as it leans against hers.
“Only the special ones,” he answers, catching her eye. They both look away, small smiles pulling their lips upward as they fall into a comfortable silence.
“You gotta admit,” he says suddenly, smirking. “It's a pretty effective method.”
She can't help but agree, leaning a little closer against him to evade the heavy rain around them.
