When orders come through for all alien species to be euthanized at Caitlyn's lab, she simply doesn't have it in her to kill Vi. So, instead, she steals her and takes her home, only for Vi to go from 'amorphous blob' to 'naked pink-haired woman standing in Caitlyn's kitchen'.
