    Sakata Gintoki is strong. It’s a fact; objective, definite. He can cut down enemies with ease. He can fight for ages without getting tired. He can push through injuries that would’ve put any other person in the hospital. Even as young as he is, he’s a strong man, and an even stronger samurai.

    He’s strong, up until the moment that he’s not. And that strength isn’t much help to him when he’s bleeding heavily from the abdomen on a barren battlefield, anyway. Especially since the nearest medic is miles away and the only people who can help him are three of his fellow Joui rebels. Who are idiots, and also kind of scared, and also not trained at any kind of medical stuff.

    And suddenly, when Gintoki is bleeding out underneath their hands, their faith in Gintoki’s unshakeable strength begins to waver.
