Ilya looks out the window. “Thank you for inviting me to your place” and this second time he thanks him, the meaning is completely different: it feels like he’s saying thank you for giving me this miracle. Shane understands; he adds nothing more than a “thank you for coming” which instead seems to mean simply thank you for trusting me.
