Summary
It couldn’t be overlooked that when Draco was especially fucking lucky, inconceivably so, Hermione let him slip the tender head of his cock underneath her knickers. Caught between the overwhelming pressure of the fabric, stretched so tightly to accommodate him, and her slippery clit.

Summary
He’d sworn, Hermione wet-eyed and delirious with pleasure underneath him, that this was the night he’d finally be inside of her.
Silly of her, to think it’d be that easy.

Summary
“What the hell are you doing here?”
“Granger.”
Malfoy's voice hit a weird, uneasy register as he said her name, one that made Lydia’s eyes pop comically wide in Hermione’s direction. Seb’s golden brown hair, tied back and boasting a frizzy halo to rival her own, filled her gaze as she averted her eyes and the world blurred. She could only hazily make out his hands placed on the carrier sitting atop the desk, as though he was mid benediction. A cat-christening. A catechism?
Hermione might be going mildly insane. The puns were always the first indication.

Summary
He resented her, whomever she was. The placement of her hand, directly over the uncomfortable throb of his heartbeat, made him angrier still. Hard to pretend at disaffection when she could feel for herself how very off kilter he was.
“I swear it. You say the word, and I’ll leave here and let you free.”
“Which word do I need to say? Abracadabra?”
She laughed, and – despite the fact that he wasn’t trying to be funny, despite the seething pit of anger and shame in his belly, despite the unfortunate reality that he still couldn’t breathe quite right: Draco was hard.

Summary
His hand drifted up to grip the back of her neck, the other to her hip. “I want it to be true too badly. For you to be mine. It’s madness to say you belong with me, but it's been driving me mad to deny it. I’m going to prove that you do over and over until you never walk away from me like that again. Until you never fucking forget it.”
Hermione didn’t bother telling him that short of Obliviation, there was no chance she ever would. She was too eager to find out exactly what he meant. “Please.”
(Or: Hermione miscalculates. Draco refuses to let her get away with it.)

Summary
“Speaking of things that I wouldn’t ask of you if it weren’t vitally important to how we want to proceed with this investigation…” Harry trailed off, removing his glasses and pinching the bridge of his nose in a familiar gesture. After a long moment, he opened his eyes. “The house is a two bedroom,” he said, as if that explained anything.
Hermione just watched him, her pulse suddenly racing. Her subconscious was making a panicked sort of squawking parrot noise, having figured out something essential that her sleepless brain hadn’t yet come to grips with.
“Hermione,” Harry said. “Malfoy is going to the safe house, too.”

Summary
Not a soul in the world but the two of them knew that after the first successful mission, after the high of playing God in the interest of avoiding any more civilian bloodshed, they’d taken each other apart piece by piece in a hotel room bathed in light from a brilliant sunrise.
It hadn’t become fully apparent until months later that in doing so, they had inadvertently changed each other, become new: two people who were only ever real when they were together.
(Hermione and Draco are elite assassin/spies who like to work, and more importantly play, together.)

Summary
“So that’s why we’re going to have company,” Hermione explained to Nova and Clementine, both of whom were jostling for space in her lap and seemingly unconcerned with Hermione’s plight.
“Because I lost my mind and invited Draco Malfoy to Christmas. And he’s coming. Tomorrow. For Christmas, which is tomorrow. Draco Malfoy is coming to have Christmas at our house. Tomorrow.”

Summary
It helped that Draco had so clearly gone out on a limb with her. She was strangely compelled to meet him in the middle and see if it held both of their weight.

Summary
Louis' life is going swimmingly: he's landed his dream job on an archaeological dig in Luxor, and his best friend Harry is at his side filming the whole thing. He's on top of his game, in charge of the college kids working on site for the summer, and he's not going to let his pesky crush on his boss or the inscrutable Liam Payne get in his way.
“Look,” Louis says, and Liam follows his pointing finger up through the opening above them, leading to the inky swath of the sky.
“Oh,” Liam breathes. “Shit.”
The stars are bright, the dark around them undiluted along the banks of the river. It’s startling, every time Louis sees it: the clarity of the stars, the quiet focus of their light. “You know that the Ancient Egyptians mapped most of these constellations?” Louis asks, his voice quiet in the heavy, chilly air of the night.

Summary
Louis and Liam have to say goodbye, so they take a road trip to do it.
“This is so hard.” Liam’s voice is sleep-gruff and sad. He rolls his head a bit to look up at Louis, defeat written all over the lines of his face. “This is so hard.”
“D’you think this trip was a mistake?” Louis doesn’t know if he thinks it is or isn’t, yet, but he wants to know if Liam does. He has to know. “Have we fucked this up even more than we needed to?”
Liam takes his time answering. “No,” he says after a moment, looking at Louis intently. “No. Our relationship deserved this, yeah? We both deserved this.” He sits back on his heels; his hand stays where it’s come to rest on Louis’ neck. “It’s just hard.”

Summary
“Replay?” Louis murmurs, not moving his face from Liam’s collarbones.
“Oh,” Liam says, because duh. This Louis hasn’t ever heard of Replay. He hasn’t invented it yet. “Forget it,” he says, “and please just tell me what’s eating you?”
Louis pulls back, then, still wrapped in and around Liam but with enough space between them that he can drag his nose up the range of Liam’s jaw with unsurprising confidence. “I feel like,” he begins, his mouth brushing just enough against the fine lines of Liam’s ear to make him shiver involuntarily. “I feel like you probably have a lot to teach me.”

Summary
Liam's feeling down about the concert, but Louis and Zayn won't have any of that.
(He would have felt terrible, honestly, if anything had happened to the girl. It’s just - he knows everyone has a least favorite member, alright, and he thinks (not for the first time) that he’s ok knowing he’s probably it for a lot of people, because being someone’s least favorite part of One Direction still means he’s a part of One Direction.)

Summary
san diego au. zayn's a brooklyn boy who follows his maybe-ex-girlfriend to san diego. it turns out a whole lot lovelier than he could have hoped.
“Look at this little family,” Harry murmurs.
“You big softie,” Louis says, but his voice is so steeped in fondness that Zayn can almost taste it, and he feels warm in a way that has nothing to do with the crush of bodies around him. He cranes his head a little and Niall meets him halfway, anticipating it, grinning as their eyes meet and reaching a hand up to grip comfortingly at the back of Zayn’s neck. Yeah, his gaze says, you belong here. We want you here. I want you here.
And then the chicken is burning and Harry yelps like he’s the one being singed and they fall apart as easily as they fell together.
