They’ve had this… thing. It’s the only word Hawks can think of to describe the tension between them. He can’t call it just flirting, because he’s the only one that pulls the weight on that end. And he certainly can’t call it a relationship. There are rules and boundaries, set by the number one hero himself, in place that prevent that sort of thing from happening any time soon.

“You know, I won’t break.”
Endeavor fixes his eyes on the hero sitting opposite to him. The flame hero waits for any kind of follow up so he can make sense of what Hawks just said. The younger hero does not offer a follow up, he simply looks at Endeavor. The silence continues to confuse the older hero as he has no idea what to make of it.
“What do you mean, Hawks?” asks the flame hero sick of being perplexed. Hawks just rests his face on his hand, giving Endeavor a look that has the older hero uncomfortably shifting in his place. There is silence again and it is starting to drive Endeavor crazy for Hawks is never this quiet. Never. No matter how much he wished he would shut up.
Something unspoken hangs between them and Endeavor does not know what to make of it.
Then he feels it. There’s a pull. Something is gently pulling him towards the winged hero.
