    They had done it. They won. Brad skated to the pile of Panthers players on the ice. He was panting, unable to take deep breaths as he processed what happened. Arms were thrown around him as he was shoved around in celebration. They were yelling, he was yelling. Holy shit they won the cup. His eyes darted around trying to take the cheering of the crowd in. It was nothing like the first time. Back in Vancouver they celebrated but not to this extent. The crowd was almost deafening, the lights blinding.
    “God I’m so proud of you.” Patrice finally said. “You did it!” The excitement was back as Brad led him through the crowd of players. He leaned in close right next to Brad’s ear. “You are not allowed to propose to me when you are shit faced.”

    Basically Brad wins the cup and he has one last thing to do after a season of victories, propose to his boyfriend.

    Everybody but Tanger knew he was compensating for something but very kindly said nothing because you can't exactly have an intervention for someone about their denial of their sexuality, especially when they're so deep in the denial they got married. Catherine isn't a bad person, but as the years went on, it became increasingly obvious that whatever Kris was interested in, it wasn't her. And sure being a WAG is great and all but she could get that again with someone who actually wants her that way. So while Kris is on a roadie, she quietly moves her things out and goes home to Montreal. Kris is served with divorce papers that have very reasonable terms when he's walking to his car from the team plane.
