Summary
Eddie's a little high, heading home after a gig, when he spots a Camaro swerving down the road. Shortly thereafter, is Billy Hargrove staggering along the shoulder.
Billy just wanted to get his stupid little "sister" home before Neil could hand him a real ass-beating. Now he's gotta find his car and an explanation.
Steve's way too out of it for this shit. He's pretty sure Billy just killed a demodog with his bare hands and somehow Eddie Munson is here and pulling the kids out of the tunnel.

Summary

Billy Hargrove moves to the cultural wasteland of Hawkins, Indiana, and it is so majorly shitty. No good music, no good pussy, and no-good King Steve fucking Harrington running the show. Everything sucks, and then he encounters Mandy Mueller, a miserable, stuck-up bitch with secrets aplenty, who ends up being a lot more fun than she lets on.
Mandy Mueller wants to be left alone, but everyone in Hawkins is so obsessed with her it's disgusting. Behind a veneer of teenage cattiness and disinterest, she manages to hold herself at a safe distance from her peers and hide all the things that make her certifiably weird. That is, until Billy Hargrove moves to town and takes an interest in her. Ugh. What a life-ruining loser.
*Third-person narrative with changing character povs. Set mid/after season 2. Still somehow mostly canon-compliant. Most of this story was written before s3&4 so idek. Most characters in s1&2 will show up alongside some nameless background and side characters from other seasons :)

Summary
The voice had always been around, Eddie remembers it, like a stream of consciousness that babbled incoherently to the point where Eddie just tuned it out.
But then the voice started speaking directly to him. Conversing like he was a whole person standing right in front of him. Like he could see what was happening around Eddie.
Eddie shook his head. No one was talking to him, and Eddie most certainly was not talking back.
He wouldn’t talk to the boy in his head ever again. There was no boy in his head.
