  Summary

  Tenderly, they smoothed the cheek of the face they’d already poured days into. It looked more and more like him—like Mihael. That was the goal, after all. They had no photos of him, nothing tangible to channel their longing into; now that he was gone, there would never be another photo of him again. This is where they turned to art.

  OR: Nate has no photos of Mihael, and would really like a way to look at him again. Making art of him is the solution (it's not working).
