Summary
Thunder hits somewhere close, Bachira is the only one that doesn’t jostle. The chandelier must be swirling agitatedly right now. An excited round of applause rises throughout the party, everyone enjoying the thrill of such a destructive storm from inside the castle’s safe walls. Will it fall? Bachira walks, teal marbles watching him approach. Someone must say something funny, because everyone starts laughing, their annoying sounds muffling the heavy downpour of rain hitting the windows. Will he die here?
He sees his own self in the boy’s eyes; firm on his stance, golden eyes shining bright gazing up at someone much taller, looking nothing short of mesmerized.
Will he live? Will he flee?
He can’t help it. The boy is enchanting.
