“Shouldn’t that crown be with their King?” Lando blurts out.
Oscar peers at him incredulously. The first time he’s acknowledged, really acknowledged Lando all day, and it’s to gawk at him like he’s some kind of mutant animal. Lando feels his jaw clench. “...Commander Norris. That”–-he kicks at the body–-”is their King.”
Then he turns to the rest of the men as if he didn’t just flip Lando’s world upside down.
“Everyone, I have some…news to announce,” he calls out, voice cracking.
So, that’s how the War ends. A damn coincidence. A freak accident.
Or: Oscar was not meant to be the King of Borealia. Not during war, not during peace. Unfortunately, fate has other plans for him--and Lando, the kingdom’s knight commander, has to be the one to deal with it.

It’s the money.
Surely that’s why Lando is agreeing to the arrangement. Why else? An alpha rando Lando’s picked up from the dumpsters is going to spend his rut in Lando’s small and increasingly-claustrophobic studio apartment while Lando is prepping to compete in a sorta-important geoguessr prize tournament hosted by none other than Sunbolt on Twitch.
It’s the money, it’s gotta be. If Lando wasn’t miserably poor he would have turned Dots away. Dots could be a wanted criminal after all. He paints walls for fuck’s sake, and his family name is Italian.

It was the freshest bit of gossip the whole school had the minute Oscar Piastri enrolled. Everyone spoke about the son of a Death Eater attending Hogwarts.
Piastri is off-putting, yes. Eerily stoic at times and a growing nuisance to Lando when he bests him at duels in front of everyone. But does Lando think this kid is some evil and dangerous wizard? Frankly, he couldn’t care less about what this kid is.
He just needs to beat him next time they’re opponents.
OR
Lando and Oscar are rivals with a deep rooted hatred for each other, both vying to win a prestigious competition at Hogwarts. But the road to becoming a victor will be tricky as they become each other’s distraction and obsession.
