Summary
In order to survive, for Clive to protect Joshua, their Eikons needed to become one. To destroy all the Mothercrystals, to win the upcoming battle and the ones after, to have the strength needed to complete such feats, Clive needed to subjugate the Phoenix’s Dominant physically. And there were no circumstances that he would ever intentionally harm Joshua.
This was the only way.

Summary
Mid finds a book that says that the flames of The Phoenix can be rekindled if he recieves essence from another being of fire. Clive finds out that in this case Joshua recieving his 'essence' would require a very intimate exchange.
Clive would do anything to give his brother more time... and Joshua would do anything to keep his brother safe in turn.
That's all this was... right?
