Summary

A wonderfully long story with a realistic timeline and without people making horribly impulsive relationship-shattering decisions. A slow burn with immense pay off.

Summary

The fact of the matter was, Hermione didn't want to talk about it.
Not about any of it.She sat through several support meetings with a leaden gut, ignoring the furtive glances sent her way from quiet hopefuls who wanted to tour her trauma.
She sat and she bore it in the name of healing.
And though, yes, sitting through tearful and dissociative retellings of war from her peers was uncomfortable, it was the way they treated her with gloves because of her resistance to share that put her off entirely.
As if her unwillingness to spill her guts implied she had suffered more than.
As if she just wasn't ready to take the leap of faith that healing required.The end of these meetings often left her with a buzzing under her skin that persisted through the evening. Sometimes, she would take a walk around the Great Lake. Other times she would hole herself up in a too-dark part of the library because that was where she would be least disturbed.
Rarely did she lounge about the living area she was expected to cohabit with Draco Malfoy.
