Summary
Statistically, Wednesdays are quieter in Gotham. But statistically Gotham has always despised statistics, and Bruce doesn't get to enjoy slower nights. Tonight should be quiet. Quiet enough that Bruce should appreciate the silence. Quiet enough that the cave walls almost start to feel homely rather than a base of operations.
Quiet enough for ghosts of one's past to catch up on you when you weren't looking.
Bruce couldn't bring himself away from where he stood in the cave, forehead bowed over the cracked display case containing the last Robins suit. The suit that had given his son magic. Time hadn't managed to smooth over the sharp edges of grief that Bruce was attempting to come to peace with, when he heard it again.
“You still miss me B?”
Bruce doesn't flinch, he can't outwardly react. He has to close his eyes, will the voice go away. But it comes again, closer this time.
“You always come down here to mope. Its pathetic old man”
When Bruce can open his eyes again and turn around he sees him. Jason stands in front of him. No, that's wrong, that has to be wrong. Jason doesn’t stand anywhere.
Jason is dead.

"But tonight he is ten years old. And he is afraid"
In his hand lay a dagger he knew all to well, a family heir loom. He knew what he was here to do. The hilt fit into his hand like it belonged their, like it was an extension of his arm and he hated it more than anything. ... He had a job and he had to succeed, he had to.
Across from him knelt an older man, wrists bound behind his back ... The man's pale skin was littered with old bruises and scars that Damian could already recognise as the surviving tale of many battles fought. But he was a traitor. He had betrayed Damian’s Grandfather, and therefore Damian‘s own name, and that could not be acceptable.
He knew this place. He knew this moment. He had watched it over and over. ... he couldn’t escape. To be an al Ghul, to be a child of the Demon head was to be a killer. To be a killer was Damian’s destiny.
------------------------------------
Damien has a nightmare about his past with the league. It is up to his new family to convince him he is safe and loved. He will never have to take another life again. -

Drake Manor is quiet. It always has been. But lately, the silence doesn't comfort Tim, it crushes and holds captive. He’s tired, all the time, in a way sleep can’t fix. His body aches, his hands won’t cooperate, and even the smallest actions feel like wading through concrete.
It’s probably nothing.
He’s probably fine.
(He’s not fine.)

"Is that what they're callin' you now? Warboy?"
"I suppose so, sir."
✯✯✯
The 1960s were a turbulent time. Vietnam raged overseas, and America simmered with unrest. But for Cassius Grant, life was supposed to be simpler: take over his late father's cattle ranch, keep his head down, and honor the legacy left behind.
He never expected war to come knocking on his front door. And he certainly didn't expect Wyatt Fortner.
As the draft looms and the world grows more dangerous, Cassius finds himself torn between duty, desire, and survival. In a time when love between two men is not just forbidden but dangerous, Cassius must navigate the unforgiving land he calls home, and the even harsher terrain of the battlefield.
All he wants is to make it out alive-alive enough to love and be loved in return.
