Summary
Louis noses the blood tentatively. “So you fucked her on Friday then.”
“Must have been more like Saturday morning?” Lestat argues over the details. His left knee is still on Louis’ thigh, and the urge to sling his other leg over to straddle him surges through him. Fucking do something about it.
“Then why the fuck did you sound so desperate for me to get here then?” Louis speaks slowly, lacing each word with spite. He downs half the glass in one and tugs off his sweater, exposing his abdomen as his inner shirt rides up. Lestat is grateful Louis’ face was covered, because the way he drinks in the sight of Louis’ belly button and tight curls trailing south is impossible to hide. But when he realises Louis is seeing through his ruse, he sucks in his cheeks and starts formulating a retort.
Louis is late to the concert. Lestat summons him with a song. But by the time he arrives, Lestat has found someone else to warm the bed. Both of them see red, and neither are willing to yield.

“There might be some trouble in paradise,” Louis admitted now to Daniel who was kind enough not to gloat about it aloud. Not that it made much difference with their telepathic connection. The sentiment came through loud and clear regardless.
“Did he cheat on your again?” Daniel asked, not mincing his words. Louis shook his head. “Made you kill someone?” Another shake of the head. “He sucks in the sack and not in the fun way?” Whatever expression passed over Louis’ face was enough for Daniel to figure it out all at once. “Ah. There is it.” He shook his head and murmured to himself, “It always starts in the bedroom.”
