The messenger butterfly comes to a stop in front of Wei Wuxian, flapping its wings expectantly. With bewilderment, he opens his hand and lets the butterfly land in his palm. He closes his eyes.
“Wei-qianbei,” says Sizhui’s voice.
Wei Wuxian barely has time to be surprised when the message continues.
“I hope that you are well. I don’t wish to alarm you, but Hanguang-jun has been injured.”
What?
“He is unconscious, but our doctor is working hard to stabilize him. I ask that you please return to Cloud Recesses as soon as possible.”
In which Wei Wuxian destroys a spirit for Lan Zhan, and breaks a curse for Lan Zhan, and wants nothing more than to have Lan Zhan wake up and look at him again.
