This is a drabble. Based on an IRL experience of mine, so I’m not sure it makes ANY sense. But it’s short and I like stories where Ritsu is angsty, so-((ALSO NOTE: Therapy is very effective for many people- it helped me a lot. AN INCREDIBLE START TO BOOK 2 OF THIS INCREDIBLE SERIES. I love seeing how Sokka deals with the aftermath of his trauma - as well as the knowledge that he hasn’t fully escaped. I also am so excited to see how the storyline will deviate even further from canon ATLA with Sokka switching to travelling with Zuko and Iroh. I am also excited and hopeful in seeing the romance between Sokka and Zuko blossom. Additionally, it seems like bad karma is following Katara now - and Aang is starting to see Katara (and Sokka) in a new, more observant light.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ZUKKA FICS I HAVE EVER READ. The concept is so interesting, and I love how in-depth we can see into Sokka’s psyche as he deals with hyper-vigilance, PTSD, and pure fear. I am so excited to keep reading the other books in this series!

Summary
Sokka was never sent to guard Yue, he was too busy scouting ahead with some of the Northern Tribe warriors before the Siege. He was catch and capture being taking too Zhao's ship. He barely managed to escape with his life due Aang and a giant sea monster. Now he's stranded in the middle of the ocean with no one except Prince Zuko and his uncle for company.
Sokka should have died, if not from drowning then the burns he received from his time on Zhao's ship. But he survived. Why? Maybe the white streak appearing in his hair may have give him an answer.
Inspired by 'Will We Last the Night' by CSHfic, VSfic but with Moon Spirit Sokka AU
ie: Sokka never makes it out of the North Pole with Aang and Katara. He travels through the Earth Kingdom with Zuko and his Uncle instead.- Language:
