“What’s this gotta do with me?”
“The Yellowjackets wanna hire you, Shipman.” Martinez smiles. “They want you out there protecting Taylor. Help her get her confidence back. She was one of the best in the league before that hit.”
“They’re hiring me to play bodyguard?” Shauna mutters, eyes glued to how breakable Jackie Taylor looks. “Okay. Yeah. I’ll—yeah, sure, I accept.”
