She’s convinced now. Max can see it in her face, that spark of mischievousness flickering behind her eyes. “So it is sort of like fake dating. Are you sure you are okay with that?”
Max half-smiles, shrugs a shoulder, pretends her heart isn’t five steps away from bursting out her chest. “Well, ‘tis the damn season, right?”
