Summary
"'Madness…" he repeated, the threatening sobs changing to laughter bubbling up unbidden from his throat. "Madness!"
Penelope's face scrunched in confusion for a brief moment, before it too dawned on her, eyes lighting up with a glint of hope. It was her turn to take to pacing, springing to her feet, fingers tapping against her thighs as she flitted to a fro.
"Madness… It could work! If the greatest mind of Achaea is ruined, unable to conjure up clever plans —"
"—then the sons of Atreus will have no use of me, that skill of mine lost to the wind!" He swept Penelope into his arms, spinning the two of them together. He breathed in her scent, a mix of sweet lotus oil and the salt of the sea. He would not be parted from her, he would make sure of it."
The Oath of Tyndareus is called upon when a Trojan prince kidnaps Helen of Sparta. Desperate to avoid leaving his son and wife, Odysseus fakes madness to prevent his going to war. But it is not meant to be, a man coming along hellbent of exposing the lie and ensuring Odysseus joins the war effort.

Summary
"The game had been her idea. It teeming in the back of her mind since their wedding night. The race he won for her hand. His powerful thighs on display, arms and legs thrumming with power as he closed the distance, feet kicking up the dust of the mapped out path, until he crossed the finish line, the first. He had looked at her then, though her face was veiled. It had not mattered, his sharp, mismatched eyes, one the sparkling favor of Athena, glowing quicksilver, the other the deep brown of Ithacan soil, saw through the veil, saw through her careful facades and walls to the woman beneath. That gaze had shook her to her core then, and still did now, even after a year of married life. But that gaze sparked something else in her. What if it was far more literal? What if to get what he desired, to bury himself deep into her, he first must catch her. Hunt her."
Or
Odysseus and Penelope engaging in some hunter/hunted roleplay because they are both freaks (affectionate)

Summary
'“Tell me, bright eyed one, what is to befall me?” My family? he thought, unable to bear sounding the words out loud.
“The ruin of your kingdom. Plague for your people, your flocks. The failing of your crops, the dissolvement of your allyships with neighboring lands. Unless-” she said, cutting him off as he opened his mouth to cry out, heart heaving in pain, “you do as I instruct you. Raise your daughter,” she gestured to the babe cradled in his arms, “as if she were your son. Raise her as you would a Prince, and, when the time is right, pass your throne down to her, making her King. Do this, and you will save your kingdom from ruin. Do not, and all I said will come to pass.”'
Odysseus, born a daughter to Laertes and Anticlea, is raised as a son to avoid a prophesy given at the time of her birth. She navigates her life in between the strict worlds of men and women, constantly walking the razor thin edge to ensure that her secret is not discovered, and the unique freedom she has managed to carve out for herself, does not go up in flames. Despite this, her and Penelope still manage to find there way to each other, drawn together like intertwining vines.
