Charles ran his hand up and down Max’ left arm. Max mentally slapped himself and told himself to keep his shit together as he could feel Charles’ warm breath against his neck, making him flush red to the tip of his ears. He was glad the lights were off so Charles couldn’t see how red he was.
“It’s fine, this is…normal,” Max breathed out in a croaky voice, leaving himself cringing at the way his voice cracked at the end.
Max laid on the bed in silence for a minute, thinking he would get a response from Charles but he noticed the person next to him was already fast asleep, his hand still resting on Max’ bicep.
