Summary
Nicolò looks sheepish. "I killed you yesterday, and you awoke at the same time, the same place. But when I die, I wake at different times, different places. This bolt," he tosses it to Yusuf and it lands in the dirt by his knee, "it killed me yesterday, but I woke up many years from now. I lived several lifetimes in those places before returning here and pulling it from my neck."
Nicky's lives and deaths are different. He is unstuck from time - at every death he revives into a different point in his life. Each time he is struck down he wonders, will he awaken to deserts and swords? Will it be gunshots in cities? Joe and Nicky build a fractured life together, falling in love across two different sets of centuries, then patiently waiting for the other to fall in love too. He meets the rest of their little family out of order, but they still build a family around Nicky's involuntary time-traveling.

Summary
“Who the heck is Nicolo?” Joe said under his breath, as he clicked on the new follower.
“Wait- what?” Quynh snatched Joe’s phone out of his hands.
“Hey!” Joe said in protest but didn’t make any moves to grab it back.
“Oh my god! That’s him! That’s Nicky!” Quynh said, excitedly.
“What?” Joe practically shouted.
“Look, look, look!” Quynh squealed.
Joe leaned in as Quynh held his phone in front of the two of them, his heart was already beating faster than it had any right to. He hadn’t even seen the guy yet. Maybe Booker was right, he really did need to get laid.

Summary
When Jake is traded to the Bills at the start of the season, Bradley faces the loss of one of his best targets downfield and his best friend 7 hours out of reach. This would be hard enough as it is, except Bradley is also hit with the realization he's been in love with Jake and is a complete fool about the whole ordeal.
Jake fell first. Bradley fell harder, with the cataclysmic drama only a NFL starting quarterback could be capable of.

Summary
A broken, disillusioned Steve Rogers is afflicted by a delusion that the mysterious assassin who nearly killed him is actually his best friend, who died 70 years ago. SHIELD wants to lock him up and return him to being a perfect, sparkling nationalist symbol as quickly as possible. Sam Wilson, who has wrestled with his own disillusionment and his own ghosts, knows that Steve needs compassion and the support of a true friend, not a forced regime of recovery that takes away what is left of his shattered autonomy.
Meanwhile, as Natasha tries to track down the Winter Soldier, her discoveries get more and more disturbing. She uncovers footage of the Soldier being subjected to, and forced to commit, horrific acts to maintain Hydra's cruel hierarchy. What's more, his resemblance to Steve's dead friend is too close to be coincidence. Sam and Natasha grow determined to stop the Soldier from being recaptured by his abusers, but how will Steve react when he learns the true extent of the Soldier's torture, and the true horror of what he was twisted into?
Is the Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes? Or is he something wearing Bucky Barnes's face?
Which of those things is worse?

Summary
“…It’s a painting of a park.”
Oscar’s lips parted just enough to see the offence on his face.
“It’s a Van Gogh,” Oscar hissed.
“Still looks like a park,” Lando murmured, stepping closer, hands on his hips as if critiquing it. “I mean, what has he actually done? Painted grass? Groundbreaking.”
On the comms, Charles made a sound halfway between a scandalised gasp and a laugh.
“Mon Dieu, have some culture.”
“I have culture,” Lando argued. “I just- look, if Oscar painted this, I’d be like, ‘wow mate, thanks for the nice landscape.’ I wouldn’t put it in a museum.”
Oscar couldn’t help it; a tiny smile tugged at his mouth. “You’re unbelievable.”
__
or, Oscar, Lando, Charles, Max, George and Kimi used to be part of the best heist crew in Europe ran by Fernando Alonso, until Vienna shattered everything. Three years later, Oscar is dragged back into the team for the biggest job they’ve ever faced: a secret vault beneath the Louvre.Bookmarked by midddsage
