Kyoya always said that. Chuckling, as if it were a joke. Turning a blind eye to Kenmochi repeating the safe word time and time again as loudly as he could, dismissing him tugging at the handcuffs as him being a brat who needed to be taught a lesson. Tightening his grip around Kenmochi’s throat and teetering dangerously close to making him collapse.
But Kyoya never killed him. Yeah, he made him black out more times than he could remember, and the smile on his face every time Kenmochi woke up and the surprisingly gentle hand he ran through his hair gave him some serious whiplash.
Still, Kyoya never killed him. Not like that anyway.
(It was Kenmochi who choked Kyoya to death. He thinks he choked him anyway. He was too far gone to hear the snap of his bones breaking).
