    He still didn't know who he should root for. Obviously not the Yankees but he wasn't sure he could handle the Mets. But it felt wrong to root for a team from California. 

    But the past several Saturday afternoons he'd been more intrigued by the dame who showed up with a bunch of guys than any of the games on the TVs.

    She never wore any Major League gear. But every week she'd come in wearing jeans that made Bucky thank all the fashion gods who gave the world the gift of women in trousers and a t-shirt for what he assumed was a Minor League team. After googling "Durham Bulls" and falling down a Wikipedia rabbit hole he spent an evening watching Bull Durham and then couldn't stop thinking about long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. 

    And spending three days doing that with her.
