    Steve Harrington was a perfectly normal white kid from Indiana, Hawkins thank you very much.

    In fact he was so perfectly normal that he was the King Jock of his high-school, the upcoming prom king. The boy with a promising future full of sports scholarships.

    He didn't get into fights (other than play fights with Tommy), he didn't get into trouble (other than fleeing the scene of underage drinking) and he didn't sweat (except at the thought that he would loose everything in a fleeting second).

    He was a straight-laced, straight (full-stop), simple kid with simple issues.
