One of the cooler things about LU is that it allows writers to play in the space about how the events of Hyrule Historia's Timeline occured. This is a good example of that, even with the fact that the actual timeline exploration in this story feels like a kick in the chest. On the other hand, you get a protective Hero of Legends as a treat, so there you go.
